Brackeys Game Jam 2022.2

You play as Antony who is looking for his buddies to join him and help him on his journey.

Build bridges to get higher and ask for help carrying things.

How to Play

Antony is able to direct his buddy followers to perform actions.

When Antony gets close to a buddy ant, that buddy ant will start to follow him.

The actions that you can perform will be based on how many followers you have at that time. Indicated by the counter in the bottom right corner.

Build a bridge

To build a bridge the selector cube must be green. You can then press the left mouse button and hold it to start drawing a line. The number indicated above the bridge line is the required number of ants to form that bridge. Release the left mouse button to finish the line and send ants to build the bridge.

If you do not have enough ants following you the bridge will not be built.

It can be easy to place bridges in the wrong places, so you can disassemble any bridge by using the left mouse button to click it,

Carrying Objects

Hovering over a carriable object will change the selector to show if you have enough ants to carry it. The number above the object shows how many ants are needed and will glow green if you have enough followers and it will glow red if you do not.

To move the object to a new location. You can press the left mouse button and hold it to start drawing a line. The selector cube will glow green on valid locations to place the object and it will glow red on invalid locations. Release the left mouse button on a valid location to send ants to carry the object to the new position.

WASD for movement

Left mouse button for actions

Hold Right mouse button to rotate the camera

There is also a legacy version of the game which was the state the game was in at the time of the jam submission. 

The legacy version has a slightly different control to disassemble bridges.

Instead of using the mouse you can press the "C"  key to disassemble all your bridges.
